SEX IN THE CHURCH SURVEY

This project is about a survey study on the factors that affect the marriage life of Christian couples. The divorce rate of the married couples in Korea has increased much in the last few years. This affects the Christian couples, too. The researcher began this study to carry out the family ministry more effectively by finding the factors that would affect the marriage life of the Christian couples. The purpose of this study is to know what factors affect the marriage life of the Christian couples. In Chapter 1, the problem was stated with five research questions, such as religious factors, economic factors, character factors, factors related to the family, and sexual factors. In Chapter 2, the biblical, theological and historical background of the married couples was stated. In Chapter 3, similar researches to this project were analyzed and theoretical constructs were established. In Chapter 4, the methodologies were stated. The researcher sent a questionnaire composed of 29 questions to the married Christian couples in the churches and the Christians institutions located in the city of Daejon. In chapter 5, the result of the study was described and evaluated following the responses to the questions. In Chapter 6, the researcher interpreted the results described in chapter 5 and concluded the project. The researcher learned that the questions that he made were indeed influencing the marriage life of the Christian couples. Especially, he learned that the character factor was influencing their marriage life the most, followed by the religious factor and economic factor. Through this study, the researcher learned what factors influence the marriage life of the Christian couples and how the Christian couples manage those factors.
